Caguioa breaks silence on Ginebra’s slump
MANILA, Philippines – After going one win away from the Finals last conference, everything went downhill for Barangay Ginebra.
The Kings are in a two-game tailspin and are in danger of missing the playoffs of the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Six games into the conference, the Kings could only show two wins joining Barako Bull at eight to ninth spot. The two bottom dwellers will be booted out after a nine-game elimination assignment for each team.
Mark Caguioa, who hibernated from social media and the press since towards the end of eliminations of the Philippine Cup, finally broke his silence Friday.
Hey guys just wanna let u know im ok. Mas concern ako sa inyo mga fans. This is nt the Ginebra that i know. Miske ako hindi ako sanay...

If this team play the way we practice we would be unstoppable. Kaso pag meron ng camera wala na parang pa pogian lang. Walang gigil at galit

Caguioa assured the fans that he is physically okay after falling down hard in their loss to Air21 last Wednesday. But the outspoken leader of the Kings hinted that there is something wrong within the team with the way they are playing.
Meanwhile, Brgy. Ginebra's former coach turned team manager Alfrancis Chua said that nothing is concrete yet with regards to an impending import change.
"Wala pa," was Chua's short reply to Philstar.com’s text message on Friday.
The Kings' volume-shooting import Leon Rodgers only scored 18 points in their loss to Air21 and missed the potential game-tying basket at the buzzer after getting benched for the most part of the fourth quarter.
Brgy. Ginebra will not play until Wednesday next week against Meralco Bolts.
