No more PBA delayed telecast: TV5, Aksyon TV join forces anew

MANILA, Philippines – TV5 has addressed the online clamor of fans to bring back the live telecast of the first games of the PBA double-headers during weekdays.

TV5 sports manager Vitto Lazatin has announced that starting this Wednesday, March 26, UHF channel 41 AksyonTV will carry all the first games of PBA double-header on weekdays live while retaining the delayed telecast at 11pm on TV5.

This came after the MVP-owned network was under fire in an online report (not on this site) over the past couple of weeks after its shift to exclusive coverage on VHF channel TV5 due to the new league schedule with a lone Monday night game added to the Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday double-headers.

In the past two weeks, the games were all aired on TV5 except the first game of weekday double-headers, which were aired on slightly-delayed basis at 11pm.

Under the new set-up, fans can now enjoy PBA live on TV5 for as many as seven times a week with three games on weeknights (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and four games on weekends (double-headers), three more than the five in the previous set-up.

PBA fans can also watch the games live online via www.philstar.com/PBALive
