Growee-Phl tops AMA Cup 3-on-3

MANILA, Philippines - The Growee-Phl youth team defeated San Sebastian in the finals to capture the 13-under title while the Adamson Baby Falcons bagged the 17-under title in the recenty held Growee 3-on-3 AMA Cup which drew a field of over 30 teams.

The Phl-Growee team, coached by Mark Herrera, is composed of Kevin Pastrana, Jomel Doringo from Masambong High School Quezon City and Gab Fortuna of San Beda Alabang I.

“I’m very impressed with how the kids play – it’s like watching professional players,” said AMA first vice president Arnel Hibo.

Entry fees were waived by the organizers, courtesy of Ambassador Amable Aguiluz, Johhny Rockets, Quiznos, AMA Bank and AMA Tower.

The Mythical 3 for the 13-under division were Kenneth Mendoza of San Beda Alabang, Pastrana and John Reyes of Quezon City Academy. Most promising player was JC Baltazar of the Growee-Phl youth team.
