MANILA, Philippines - Annyka Chanel Cayabyab dished out fine form as she topped the girls Class D division of the third leg of the ICTSI-JGFP School Season Tour conducted by The Junior Golfers League at the Philippine Navy and Capitol Hills courses recently.
Cayabyab, reaping the fruits of a swing overhaul under new coach Norman Sto. Domingo, recovered from a two-point deficit on the last four holes in the final round with a one-under card to nip Burberry Zhang by three.
Cayabyab, who finished with 86 points after scoring 41 at Navy and 45 at Capitol against Zhang’s 42-41-83, is currently training for the Junior World Qualifying, US Kids Scotland and Pinehurst and Veritas World Juniors.
The daughter of Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab is back-to-back winner of the prestigious Veritas Junior World Cup in the US, and the defending champion of the PGF Junior Master Northern Luzon Philippines.
