The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Kaspersky Lab, through its distributor iSecure Networks, Inc., has recently teamed up with non-profit organization Junior Chamber International (JCI) in organizing the sixth edition of the Visually Impaired Sports Training Advocacy (VISTA) Games.

The VISTA Games is a mini-Olympic sports event held at the Marikina Sports Complex recently where 200 visually impaired children took part in various competitions, including track and field, swimming, long jump, chess and goalball. The children were accompanied by their parents, teachers and volunteers.

The annual event aims to help encourage these children, who are mostly public school students, to live active lifestyles even with their disabilities and provide them an opportunity where they can excel in sports. Apart from joining the event, Kaspersky Lab also gave away various premium items to the children.

The VISTA Games is a point activity of Parent Advocates for Visually Impaired Children (PAVIC) and the Department of Education (DepEd) organized by the Manila of JCI.
