Montilla, pal rule Prima badminton

MANILA, Philippines - Sonny Montilla and Orlan Ticala ripped Tan Kapunan and Joed Reyes, 21-18 21-19, to win the men’s double level B crown of the seventh Prima Pasta Badminton Championship recently at the Powersmash badminton courts in Makati.

Jen Cayetano and Tin Padura of Far Eastern U won over Christine Garin and Gielyn Ochoa of Adamson, 21-17, 20-22, 21-18, for the women’s doubles level B trophy of the annual competition organized by Alexander Lim.

 The major sponsors of the competitions are Boysen Paints, Morning Star Milling Corporation, Mabz Builders, ILO Construction, Monolith Construction, Pioneer Life, Promax, RSL Badminton Rackets and 99.5 RT.

 Other supporters are Del Monte Fit N Right, Window One, Jones Lang La Salle Leechiu, Jose Siao Ling & Associates, Mega Subic Terminal Services, Regent Foods Corp., Sincere Construction, U2 Electrical, Unipak Plastics and Containers, Goldilocks, United Colourtech, Gardenia, Wil-An Aluminum and Ultracote.

Other doubles event champions were Nanette Pineda-Mae Saavedra (level F); Ara Teodoro-April Remolacio (level E); Patrice Israel-Tin Padura (level D); Jennifer Choi-Jen Cayetano (level C); and Jen Cayetano-Tin Padura (level B).
