MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Corporate Cup marks its 26th staging with another banner field – a maximum of 75 teams set to slug it out for top honors beginning Monday at Camp John Hay Golf Club in Baguio.
Headed by Camp John Hay Group of Companies chairman Robert John Sobrepeña, the event features the country’s top business executives clashing in the regular and seniors divisions of the four-man team championship, a four-to-play, three-to-count format.
The event is co-presented by Ayala Land Premiere and Mega Fiber.
A brand new Wigo car from Toyota Baguio will also be staked as hole-in-one prize in the event backed by CJH Development Corp., The Manor at Camp John Hay, The Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay, CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center, Le Chef by Chef Billy King, Farmers Coffee, Golforce, Inc., Poblador Reyes Bautista (PBR) Law Office, PacSports, Inc., International Container Terminals & Services, Inc. (ICTSI), Alveo Land, Canon, Emperador Distillers, Crown Legacy Hotel, Pugo Adventure, Bishop’s Foundation, The Residences at Brent.
Also on tap are fun social activities such as a themed outdoor barbecue, wine/beer/cocktails, dinner cuisine by Chef Billy King of LeChef, live entertainment and a raffle draw on awards night on March 13.
Manila Southwoods, Forest Hills, Sherwood Hills, Eagle Ridge, and The Cliffs are partner golf clubs.
Team Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay, composed of Thirdy Escano, Shean Bedi, Monet Garcia, Jayson Yu and alternate Peng Perez de Tagle emerged as Group 1 champions in the event’s silver staging last year.
Team Pugo Adventure, on the other hand, topped the seniors division by beating Team Royal Northwoods on a team built around Park Jong-won, Jun Oribello, Peter Go and Richard Sali.
