Pacquiao-Bradley 2 HBO primer airs March 30
MANILA, Philippines – Fans can once again get a glimpse of what’s in store for Manny Pacquiao’s upcoming fight against Timothy Bradley through HBO’s award-winning “24/7†primer, which will debut on March 29 (March 30 Manila time).
HBO said “Pacquiao-Bradley 2 24/7†will come in three episodes that spans three weeks, delving into each fighter’s preparations leading to their welterweight rematch on April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Renowned boxing analyst Al Bernstein is ecstatic for the three-episode primer, which has been pay-per-view giant HBO’s way of hyping major fights.
“‘Pacquiao-Bradley 2’ is the ideal event to take the ‘24/7’ franchise and develop new ideas and programming, while continuing to provide viewers a compelling look at the intensity of the fighters as they prepare for this highly anticipated showdown,†Bernstein explained.
The second episode will air on April 5 (April 6 in Manila) while the third and last installment is scheduled to hit televisions on April 10 (April 11 here). The latter episode will be shot on location from Las Vegas two nights before the high-stakes welterweight bout and will capture the energy and intensity of fight week.
A “24/7†special has been a staple in Pacquiao’s fights, featuring an extensive roster of resource persons from chief trainer Freddie Roach to key members of the Filipino icon’s team and even his relatives.
The fighting congressman is eyeing to get back at Bradley and reclaim the WBO welterweight title, which he lost when the American escaped with a controversial majority decision win in June 2012.
Bradley, for his part, vows to prove his win over Pacquiao is no fluke.
