Iloilo breeder tops ‘Hari Ng Rueda’

MANILA, Philippines - Gerardo Abogada of Iloilo ruled the 858-entry NFGB Hari Ng Rueda 8-Cock Derby Thursday at Roligon Mega Cockpit.

Abogada (Energetic Farms, eight points) received the championship trophy from National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (NFGB) president Ricoy Palmares Jr. and the NFGB board.

Celso Salazar of Batangas and Ed Ranchero-George Manzano of Ilocos Sur posted 7.5 points each to bag runner-up honors.

Those with seven points were Rizal Breeders president Joey Sy, Rep. Kulit Alcala of Quezon, Obet Armada, Joe and Bob Caparanga, Nelson Bartolome, Charl Caldo, Paul Panes, James Wolf, Vicente Edurese,Prins Palo–ay, Butch Yabut, Julius Mallari, Jess de Veyra and Vincent Rojo.

The Roligon management announced yesterday that ‘Hari Ng Rueda’ ranks as one of its top attractions.

The 2013 National Bakbakan remains as its top crowd-drawer to date.
