Mizuno backs Yakult 10-Miler
MANILA, Philippines - The silver run of the country’s pioneer and premier 10-Mile race gets a big boost with Mizuno backing its 25th staging at the Cultural Center Complex grounds in Pasay on March 23.
The 10-mile race (16K) will be run on an out-and-back course in the southbound side of Roxas Blvd. starting and ending on Vicente Sotto St. inside the CCP complex.
Spicing up the event are the 5K fun run and 3K Kiddie run.
With Mizuno’s backing, additional prizes will be given to the top finishers. Mizuno items will be raffled off on race day.
Up to 30 percent exclusive discount privileges can be availed of by registrants at participating Mizuno stores during the registration period. Special perks await Mizuno users at the Mizuno booth during the run.
Registration is ongoing at the following Mizuno outlets: Trinoma Mall (tel. 916-6495); SM Megamall (954-2066); Bonifacio High Street at Bonifacio Global City ( 856-1432) and at SM Mall of Asia (954-2407).
One can also register online by logging on to race.com.ph/yakult.
Registration at Mizuno outlets ends on March 19 while online registration ends March 17.
Fees are pegged at P500 for the 16K run, P400 for the 5K, and P300 for the 3K race, inclusive of a running singlet issued upon registration.
All finishers receive an additional finishers t-shirt and a bottle of Yakult, the unique health drink with lacto-bacilli shirota strain.
Cash prizes plus trophies and Yakult gift packs await the top five finishers of the 16K run. The 5K and 3K top three finishers will receive medals and Yakult gift packs.
Although the 3K run is open to individuals 18 years and above, top finishers awards will only be for kids 6 to 9 years old and 10 to 12 years old.
Also, Mizuno is giving away running shoes for the 16K champion male and female, with the second and third placers receiving Mizuno singlets. The first placers of the 5K and 3K races, male and female, will also receive Mizuno singlets.
