Trinidad tops Rodeo Masbateño golf

MANILA, Philippines - Orly Trinidad topped the individual event while Ultra Flite bested the Celebrity team by a hairline in the team competition in the second Rodeo Masbateño golf tournament held Jan. 25 at the Veterans Golf Club course.

General Amor Bumanlad won the Skycable’s nearest-to-the-pin, Jhun Manalansan banged away the Globe’s longest drive and Alphonsus Crucero hit the First Gen’s Most Accurate Drive.

Rey Langit, Arnold Clavio, Deo Macalma, Milky Rigonan, Ely Saludar,  Alex Magno, Jojo Robles, Conrad Banal, Roy Mabasa and Maryann Reyes were among media golf aficionados who participated in the 18-hole event organized by the Rodeo Masbateno Inc., Bugsai Paraw and Maloli Espinosa and Associates to launch the Rodeo Festival 2014 set March 30-April 13 in Masbate.

Providing the Rodeo flavor during the tournament were Masbate-based cowboys who came dressed in complete cowboy outfit.  The real-life cowboys demonstrated their whip-racking skills and even provided hands-on training for some of the golfers.
