MANILA, Philippines - Basketball TV and NBA Premium TV will bring the best basketball viewing experience in the country from Feb. 16-17 at the New Orleans Restaurant on Bonifacio High Street, Taguig.
On those two dates, basketball aficionados will get to watch the biggest events from this year’s All-Star Weekend in the Big Easy. The owners said the celebration won’t be restricted to just staring at the television and watching the best athletes take center stage.
Besides the live telecast of the events during All-Star Saturday Night and the All-Star Game and the free food for the first 70 guests, the viewing party will also hold a Design Your Own Mardi Gras Mask contest, where the most artistic people in attendance will get a chance to display their skills to everyone. The few lucky designers that create the best NBA All-Star Mardi Gras-themed masks will be rewarded with special prizes.
The activities, though, will not be limited to just the artists in attendance. Even video game addicts will find an opportunity to portray their talents and stand tall over the competition. From 8-9:30 a.m. on both days, those who are in the mood for an exhibition game of NBA 2K14 can go over to the Play Station booth and go head to head against other video game junkies.
From 9:30 to 11 a.m., the competition heats up, as the first 12 people to register upon arrival will get to take part in BTV and NBA Premium’s first NBA 2K14 head to head contest, with the winner of each contest getting a reward. The organizers said the prizes for the victors will be worth the preparation.
Titan and Adidas will also make a splash during the event. Throughout the two days of the viewing party, a showcase of the 2014 NBA All-Star Game jerseys, shoes, and other apparel will be on display for sneaker heads and basketball fans present at the vicinity.
The two shops will raffle off some of their newest products like a pair of Derrick Rose’s latest footwear: the D. Rose 4.5. Other prizes are gift certificates from New Orleans, the latest magazines from SLAM, numerous NBA items from X-Play, and a couple of charities from Basketball TV and NBA Premium TV.
There’s nowhere else to be for the 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend more than New Orleans, where Basketball TV and NBA Premium TV will deliver its best All-Star viewing party to date., organizers said.
