MANILA, Philippines - A banner cast is expected when some of the country’s top golfing seniors slug it out in the sixth Manila Southwoods Seniors Invitational tournament slated Feb. 20-21 at the Legends and Masters courses in Carmona, Cavite.
Presented by Megafiber Psyllium Fiber and Goutritis Herbal Supplement, the tournament is open to Southwoods senior members and guests aged 55 years old and above.
Fabulous prizes are at stake in the two-day event, including a reconditioned EZ-GO TXT two-seater electric golf cart as major prize, with Kart Plaza, Mizuno and Wilson also putting up prizes for hole-in-one feats.
Format will be aggregate-medal play with the first day set at the bunker-riddled Legends layout and the final round up at the hazard-laden Masters course, according to the organizing Southwoods’ Seniors Chapter, headed by president/tournament chairman Paco Gonzalez and vice president Rod Pepito.
The field will be divided into four groups based on handicap.
The annual hole sponsors of the event are Surechoice Pharma/Am-Europharma, Asia Pacific Golf Corp., Red Eagle Lending Investors Corp., Resorts World Manila, Romago, Inc., Rudy Project Phils., Tocoms Phils. and Warbird Security and Investigation Agency.
