No Speed Limit run tomorrow

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The No Speed Limit, Ateneo’s premier running event, will be held tomorrow with another huge field expected to participate in the annual fund-raiser set from Ateneo de Manila U campus to Antipolo via Marcos Highway.

Proceeds of the event, organized by the Ateneo Special Education Society (SPEED) and co-presented by Cherifer and Manila Bulletin, will go to Kaisahan ng Magulang at Anak na Maykapansanan (KAISAKA, Inc.), a community-based rehabilitation program for persons with disabilities and their families based in the urban poor community.

Now on its seventh year, the No Speed Limit will also feature Athletes from Special Olympics, making this year’s staging extra special for all the participants. Also on tap is Fitness Fair open to everyone as well as performances from KAISAKA Inc.

The organization pushes for the spread of awareness regarding people with special needs through being in dynamic partnerships with institutions catering to people with special needs and through creating projects that either form its members or open SPEED to both the Ateneo community and the outside community.

Listup is ongoing at Gold’s Gym Katipunan (9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.), Chris Sports at SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, and Market! Market!, SM Marikina (1-7 p.m.), ROX Bonifacio High Street (2-9 p.m.) or visit www.Ateneo.com/NSL2014.

Backers of the event are Manila Water, Myphone, and Gardenia while other supporters are Gan Advanced Osseointegration Center, BPI Family, Cha Dao Tea Place, Purefoods, Gold’s Gym, Salonpas, Hyundai Commonwealth, Chris Sports, WheninManila, and Runner’sRunner.com.
