RTU spikers reach NCRAA volley finals

MANILA, Philippines - Rizal Technological University turned back Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite, 25-12, 25-15, 30-28, to advance to the finals of the 21st National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) women’s volleyball tournament at the RTU gym in Mandaluyong.

The Lady Thunder leaned on a series of defensive plays in the deciding third set to pull off the victory in the second stepladder semifinal match that lasted one hour.

They will face off with the La Salle-Dasmariñas Lady Patriots in the finals on Feb. 4.

The RTU spikers, who fought back from 17-21 down in the final set, forced the last of five deadlocks at 28-all using a drop shot from Hannah Fuertes.
