Saints, Mariners, Blue Thunder win

MANILA, Philippines - The St. Claire College Saints, the Philippine Merchant Marine School Mariners and the Rizal Technological University Blue Thunder smothered their respective foes yesterday at the San Andres gym in Malate, Manila.

The Saints, led by Mark Dulalia and Gil Marte, whipped the Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite Vanguards, 98-72,  to stay on the winning track with the Mariners and the Blue Thunder in the 21st National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) basketball tournament.

Dulalia tallied 16 points, while Marte fired 15 for the Saints as they marched to their eighth straight triumph.

Dan Reverente showed the way for the Mariners, who thrashed the La Salle-Dasmariñas Patriots, 83-59. Harold Lomtong led the RTU Blue Thunder to a 82-63 crushing of the Philippine School of Business Administration Jaguars.

 Reverente banged in 17 points for the Mariners, who went on to notch their sixth win in eight outings, while Lomtong shot 17 points in powering the Blue Thunder to their fourth win.
