St Scho, Assumption prevail in WVL opener
MANILA, Philippines - St. Scholastica’s Team A overwhelmed St. Paul University-QC, 25-3, 25-10, while Assumption College pulled off a 25-21, 25-13 win over PWU-JASMS in Group A at the start of the 18th Women’s Volleyball League at Xavier School gym over the weekend.
King’s Montessori School blasted St. Scholastica-B, 25-9, 25-18, for a share of Group B lead with Colegio San Agustin-Makati, which tripped Escuela de Sophia of Caloocan, 25-21, 26-24, in the event organized by the Best Center and backed by Milo.
Academy of God’s Children turned back St. Paul College-Pasig, 21-25, 25-22, 25.15, also in Group B action of the 17-Under Competitive Division.
Escuela de Sophia also logged a win after that loss to CSA, foiling Holy Family School, 19-25, 25-21, 25-18.
