NCA holds world derby at Ynares

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance holds the World Championship Derby on Jan. 14, 16 and 18 with a stellar international field fielding in their top class entries at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Long considered as the toughest derby in the world, the blue-ribbon event will be launched in elaborate rites at 12 noon today at the E’s Bar at Edsa Shangri-La in Mandaluyong.

Meanwhile, three shared top honors in last Tuesday’s NCA derby with the TMP 5-Cock of Tady Palma, the GQ Ashlie of Elan Nagaño, and Arman Santos’ AA Jade Resort scoring five points apiece.

Remy Medrano’s Anonymous and Mulawin of Mayor Rudy Albano wound up with similar 4 1/2 points while Redbull 888 of Carlos Tumpalan, Flying Horse of Rep. Joseph Panganiban, Tatay Bong of Eric dela Rosa and AA Cobra of Atong Ang finished with four points each in the event sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.

Edwin Tose’s Pasay Invitational, LB Candelaria & Pugo Combined of Ka Luding and SF Blue Quartz 1 of Bebot Uy scored 3 1/2 points apiece while Edward of Boy Asoy, Mr. Kua, and Ruel Ricafort; AA King Fireman of Atong Ang and Pido Jarencio; Sta. Barbara of Jomar Baligod; PS Govic of Mike Romulo, Pipo Soliman, and Victor Yap; AIAH & VINZ of Dylan Castillo and Vinz Bara Bara; and Lucky Money RM posted three points each.
