Mayweather pokes fun at Pacquiao in ‘Christmas card’
MANILA, Philippines – Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn’t sparing Manny Pacquiao from insults a day before Christmas.
The brash fighter on Tuesday posted on his Twitter account (@FloydMayweather) what he calls his “Christmas card to the world,†which blatantly takes a swipe at Pacquiao.
In the photo collage’s upper part, Mayweather referred to the bogged talks between his camp and Pacquiao’s to arrange a megabuck showdown. It can be recalled that Mayweather called Pacquiao about two years ago offering the Filipino a flat purse of $40 million to fight him, something the fighting congressman balked at.
Pacquiao then asked for a much-reasonable 50-50 split of the purse and the fight revenue. The fight never pushed through.

Some years later, Pacquiao got brutally knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez, and Mayweather made sure to emphasize the fact. The lower part of the photo collage Mayweather posted includes an image of Pacquiao lying face down on the canvass after getting knocked out by Marquez in their fight in December last year.
Beside it, a meme of Pacquiao praying that Mayweather calls him for a fight can be seen.
A Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is still the richest fight that could be made in the sport nowadays, especially with the Filipino’s recent comeback victory over Brandon Rios. Mayweather is still looking to finalize his next fight but has openly declared that Pacquiao isn’t in his radar.
Pacquiao, for his part, expressed his willingness to face off with Mayweather. He is slated for an April 12 return.
