The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - La Salle-Dasmariñas blew a two-set lead but recovered in time to repulse Olivarez College, 25-11, 25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 18-16, in the 21st NCRAA volleyball tournament at the Ugnayang La Salle gym in Dasmariñas, Cavite recently.

Hudri Kona came through with two crucial plays to lift the Patriots to victory, their third in four games, tying their victims for the lead.

Kona scored on a vicious kill to break the 16-all count then combined with Francis Basilan for a block to clinch the win and end the two-hour and five-minute encounter.

The Sea Lions forced the decider after a pair of attacks from Razzel Palisoc. A block by the Patriots on Christopher Besa helped pad Olivarez’s lead to five, 21-16, in the fourth.
