The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - St. Clare used a big third quarter run to beat Philippine School of Business Administration, 95-77, in the 21st National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) men’s basketball tournament at the Olivarez College gymnasium in Sucat, Parañaque yesterday.

Mark Dulalia fired the bulk of his 18-point output in the pivotal third, highlighted by four triples, as the Saints broke away from a tight game to post their fifth straight win in the cagefest supported by Mikasa and Molten balls.

Meanwhile, the La Salle-Dasmariñas Patriots notched their second straight win by trouncing the Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite Vanguards, 91-81.

Jeffrey Acain came away with a topscoring 21 points, John Sablan added 18 markers while Eli Canuel chipped in 17 points for the Patriots.

La Salle-Dasma also routed PSBA, 96-70, last Tuesday to even their card at 2-2.

With Dulalia finding his range, the Saints raced from a 38-32 halftime spread to a 74-52 bulge heading to the fourth.

Nico Bolos added 15 points for the Saints, while Darwin Santos and Dennis Lunor had 10 and nine points, respectively.

The Jaguars, who fell to 0-4, drew 23 points from Aries Dionisio.
