NCA kicks off 6-stag derby circuit tonite

MANILA, Philippines - Action is expected to be fierce as the top bets of the country’s leading cockers and breeders clash for top honors in the National Cockers Alliance six-cock derby today at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Hosted by Luding Boongaling, Eugene Martin, and Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano, the event will feature entries from top cockers Rolly Bautista and Rey Soberano and NCA members Lito Orillaza, JR Tolentino, the Firefly Group, Mario Villamor, Edwin Tose, Jun Topacio, R. Gatchalian, Atong Ang, Osang dela Cruz, Procis Aquino, Manny and Armand Santos.

Others fielding in their top bets are Ruel Ricafort, Pol Estrellado, Ito Ynares, Vic Amante, Arnold Mendoza, Patrick Antonio, Cesar Dy, Tonton Uy, Jose Panganiban, Edgar Santos, Elan Nagano, Jun Soriano, Nestor Mercado, Victor Yap, Pipo Soliman, Efren Canlas, Jet Fernando, Jun and Rudy Jingco, Claude Bautista, Bebot Uy, Peter Unabia, Jun Diamante and Rene Medina.

Meanwhile, the second leg of the NCA six-cock derby will be held Jan. 7, to be hosted by Osang dela Cruz, Procis Aquino, Pol Estrellado and Arnold Mendoza while the World Championship Derby (WCD) is set Jan. 14, 16 and 18.
