The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Big Chill fended off Zambales M-Builders repeated rallies in the fourth quarter as it posted a 82-71 victory to formalize its stint in the quarters while firming up its bid for the outright semifinal berth in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at the Trinity University of Asia gym yesterday.

The Superchargers led by as many 13 points in the third quarter but needed some clutch baskets from Reil Cervantes and Quinton Heruela down the stretch to notch their third straight win and stay on top with a 9-1 card.

Their latest victory also kept the front-running Superchargers in contention for an outright semifinal berth.

In the second game, Café France pounced on the skidding Hog’s Breath Café as it run away with 81-58 rout for its fourth straight victory for an overall 7-3 mark.

The Bakers never trailed the entire game while posting leads of 35-24, 62-44 and 81-55 on the way to their way to victory.
