Ayala Harpoons earn 3-peat in Speedo G-league

MANILA, Philippines - Ayala Harpoons Swim Club finished strong and pooled 929 to dominate the fourth Speedo G-League Long Course Nationals for the third straight time at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex over the weekend.

Raissa Gavino (13), Gerard Christoffe Reyes (17), Jeremy Bryan Lim (16) and Thea Caluma (17) spearheaded the Ayala Harpoons’ charge in the four-day event, which gathered 61 swim teams nationwide.

Valle Verde Aqua Lasers Swim Club placed second with 599.50 points while the Alabang Country Club Gators wound up with 428 points for third.

Samantha Borlain topped the 11-year-old class, ruling the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m freestyle events, 100m backstroke, 200m butterfly, and 400m individual medley. Regina Castrillo ruled the 13-year old division, topping the 50m, 100m, 400m freestyle events, 50m, 100m, 200m butterfly events, 100m backstroke, 200m, and 400m individual medley.
