SPGAP pro-am gets going at Veterans

MANILA, Philippines - The Senior Professional Golfers’ Association of the Philippines will hold a two-day pro-am tournament beginning today with the country’s leading golfing seniors and their amateur partners clashing for top honors and cash prizes at the Veterans Golf Club.

Former Philippine Open champion and many-time Phl Masters titlist Robert Pactolerin heads the compact field that also includes Rey Alit, Mario Manubay and Juanito Pagunsan.

A top purse of P35,000 is up for grabs in the event presented by MINPPY Japanese Hotpot and Albargle Golf Japan and organized by PGAP president Jun Bustamante and the PGAP board of directors.

Format is the alternate shot in today’s opener with action shifting to the combined aggregate scores tomorrow.

Registration is open with fee pegged at P3,000.
