MACAU – It was business as usual for Manny Pacquiao inside the ring yesterday.
Just moments after his trainer, Freddie Roach, got into a fight with members of Team Rios, Pacquiao pushed through with his training.
Pacquiao entered and left the ring with a big smile on his face.
After his mitts session with Roach, the Filipino boxer who’s always in a jovial mood pretended like he was going to kick his chief trainer.
The room burst into laughter.
Roach said it’s a sign that Pacquiao is not bothered by the incident.
“He’s ready to fight,†he said.
Roach got kicked by Alex Ariza near the mid-section after the former got into a heated verbal tussle with Rios’ trainer, Rob Garcia.
Pacquiao said the incident does not bother him at all as he headed to a very important fight with the 27-year-old Rios, a Mexican-American.
“I have nothing to say. What happened today doesn’t bother me. Business as usual,†said Pacquiao.
He then turned Biblical, saying, “If you have grievance against anybody, learn to forgive.â€
Pacquiao trained for nearly two hours and then called it a day.
Roach said they’ll be back at the gym today – regardless of who they run into.
“We’ll be here tomorrow. We’ll be here on time,†he said.
