MANILA, Philippines - The search for outstanding adult and teen triathletes continues with Unilab Active Health’s 2013 Tri United Series as Fontana Leisure Parks and Casino in Clark hosts Tri United 4 on Nov. 24 at 6 a.m.
Organized by Bike King (headed by Raul Cuevas), Tri United 4 aims to attract a wide field of up-and-coming triathletes as well as newcomers who seek not only to test their limits but also try to rise above others for fame and recognition.
Elite participants and adult age-groupers will vie in the sprint distance (900m swim–30K bike–5K run) while teen participants will tackle the shorter race course (600m swim–20K bike–5K run). The Fontana Leisure Parks 50-meter pool will be used for the participants’ enjoyment.
Also set in the event sponsored by Unilab Active Health, Enervon Active, Enervon HP, I-ON Energy Drink, Hydrite, Bike King, AboitizPower, Pocari Sweat, Timex, Crystal Clear Purified Water, Saucony, Corima, Orbea and UST College of Rehabilitation Sciences are two-man relay and three-man relay competitions.
The top 3 male and female category winners will receive medals and gift packs.
Each participant will receive a swim cap, timing chip (to be returned), race bib, stickers for bike and helmet, official race t-shirt, race belt, finisher’s medal, Unilab Active Health token and a post-race meal.
As a way of expressing thanks to those who participated in the 2013 Tri United Series, Unilab Active Health will be organizing a series-ender party set Dec. 11.
Winners of each age-group in the entire series will receive recognition in the party. The venue will be announced soon.
