Ricafort tops NCA derby; Big Event slated Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines - Ruel Ricafort scored six points and took the solo championship in the National Cockers Alliance six-cock derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig last week.

Tonton Uy, Manny, Arman Santos and Rep. Peter Unabia shared runner-up honors with five points while Gov. Ito Ynares, Efren Canlas, Rep. Patrick Antonio and Harold Ramos wound up with identical four points.

Meanwhile, the elite field braces for a tough outing in the NCA seven-stag Big Event on Tuesday with no less than the Stag Fight of the Year at stake.

Edwin Tose leads the pack with 25 points followed by Canlas with 23 points while Jun Soriano, Brown, and Elan Nagaño, and Arman Santos all have 22 1/2 points each in the event sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.

Mario Villamor has 22 points, followed by another entry of Arman Santos with 21 1/2 points and Bebot Uy, Johnny Jalandoni and Ralph Daigo, who all tote with 20 1/2 points.
