Ongtiaobok claims 2 crowns in PTCC

MANILA, Philippines - Bjorn Ongtiaobok posted two wins and turned in a runner-up and third place finishes to power Tuason Racing-Standard Insurance team to victory in the kickoff of the Philippine Touring Car Championships at the Batangas Racing Circuit recently.

Ongtiaobok, a former TRS Top Driver Challenge champion, dominated the field in Division 3 (for 100 hp cars), winning Races 2 and 4 while finishing second in Race 1 and placing third in Race 3.

Running at a fast laptime of 2:11.194, Ongtiaobok gained distance after each lap in Race 4 and went on to post a winning time of 12.794 seconds. He earlier wound up second in the opening race but took the GT100 plum in Race 2.

With his feats, Ongtiabok gained the solo lead in Division 3 with 67 points for the Tuason Racing-Standard Insurance squad powered by BMW, Bridgestone, Coke Zero, PUMA, OMP, C!Magazine, Aguila Auto Glass, Acer,  Oakley, Toptul, Bellevue, Karate Kid, Speedlab, Brembo and Go Pro.
