Race on for NCA best stag fighter
MANILA, Philippines - The race for the National Cockers Alliance Stag Fighter of the Year honors heats up today when the NCA stages another six-stag derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Edwin Tose leads the race with 19 points with Jun Soriano, Brown and Niño Yee and the group of Beboy Uy, Ralph Daigo and Johnny Jalandoni share second with 17.5 points apiece.
Boy de Roca is within striking distance with 17 points followed by Efren Canlas with 15 points and Mayor Hernandez and Gov. Ito Ynares with 14 points.
Arman Santos, Mayor Elan Nagano, and Mario Villamor have 13.5 points each.
The event, hosted by De Roca, Canlas, Jimafer, and Pipo Soliman, features top-notch entries from noted breeders Jomar Hizon, Edwin Santiago, Tony Naguiat, Ato dela Cruz, Bong Pineda, Manolet Sazon, Edwin Jingco, Jingco brothers, Ray Manalansan, RJ Mea, Louie Castillejo, Max Roxas, Pido Harenzo, Celso Evangelista and Magno Lim.
Meanwhile, the next NCA stag derby, hosted by Sagupaan Complexor, is set Oct. 22 to be hosted by Patrick Antonio, Tonton Uy, Atong Ang, Edgar Santos, and Ruel Ricafort.
