Ex-PBA import takes charge in Hobe’s win

MANILA, Philippines - Former PBA import James Cornley fired 23 points as Hobe Bihon thwarted MJM Production (Team Zamboanga), 69-64, while Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall held off Skyforce, 88-84, in the opener of the third DELeague (Kap Rudy Francisco Cup) at the Marikina Sports Center gym last Sunday.

Cornley, the 2012 PBA Governor’s Cup Best Import, also snared five rebounds and made four assists to lead Hobe Bihon to victory. Darwin Cordero had 13 points and six rebounds for MJM Production.

Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall won over Skyforce, 88-84.

Former PBA cager Celedon Camaso poured in 25 points and hauled down six rebounds while Francis Adriano, also a former PBA player, scattered 20 points and had three rebounds to help carry Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall past a tough Skyforce side.
