MANILA, Philippines - University of the East will hold its third Mixed Tenpin bowling tournament tomorrow with 21 teams vying for top honors at the Quezon City Sports Club, E. Rodriguez Sr. Blvd., Kristong Hari, QC.
Each team will consist of six bowlers, including a team captain, to play two complete frames in the first round to determine the 10 teams with the highest total scores as qualifiers for the second round. The top five teams with highest total scores will advance to the finals.
Aside from the team awards, the bowler with the highest score will receive a special citation.
The teams are composed of students, employees and faculty from UE Manila and Caloocan campuses and the UE Alumni Association Inc. (UEAAI).
The field will be divided into two groups with Group I to play at 10:30 a.m. onwards and Group II set at 1 p.m. onwards, according to bowling committee chair Gherman Jaramillo, director of the UE Management Information Systems Department.
The tournament serves as part of UE’s 67th foundation anniversary celebrations this September.
