MANILA, Philippines - Heavy rains and flooding forced the NCAA to cancel its scheduled games yesterday, guaranteeing another November finish for the 89-year-old basketball league.

Already marred with postponements in the first round, also due to inclement weather, the elims round was supposed to end on Oct. 21 but yesterday’s postponement will stretch the schedule even further as the Final Four and the best-of-three championship series will reach the November playdates.

Yesterday’s matches would have pitted San Sebastian against St. Benilde and Arellano U vs Jose Rizal.
