Erase Xfoliant throws support to UAAP, NCAA squads

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Erase Xfoliant has maintained its involvement in sports through the years – from the defunct Philippine Basketball League to the current PBA D-League to the country’s premier collegiate leagues – the UAAP and the NCAA.

And it plans to keep it that way.

“More than anything else, it’s passion,” said Erase Xfoliant team owner Louie Gamboa of the firm’s commitment to help Philippine sports, particularly basketball.

Aside from providing corporate backing, Erase Xfoliant has also become a “lucky charm” of sorts for the teams it supports.

“So far, we’re happy that the teams we are supporting are doing good in their respective leagues,” said Gamboa, referring to the Letran Knights, San Beda Red Lions and the Arellano University Chiefs in the NCAA, the UST Tigers and the Ateneo Lady Eagles in the UAAP.

Letran and San Beda are currently the top two teams in the NCAA while UST and Ateneo are in the thick of the fight in their respective divisions in the UAAP.

As chief supporter, Gamboa said his group makes it a point to be there in the heat of the battle, cheering from the sidelines and being among those actively encouraging players to give their best during the match.

Putting up tarpaulins and streamers showing the teams’ star players has also become part of Erase Xfoliant’s commitment, making the brand closely attached to the schools it’s supporting.

More than attaching itself to teams that bring in a winning culture, Erase Xfoliant’s main thrust is to be involved with schools that uphold great desire and attitude.
