UE wins appeal as UAAP reduces Mammie’s ban to 1 game
MANILA, Philippines - After a stretch of unfavorable suspensions to their players, UE has finally caught a break after their successful appeal to reduce the suspension of Charles Mammie to one game.
Mammie, will suit up in their game Wednesday against the De La Salle Green Archers after the UAAP Board trimmed down his suspension to just one game.
"We gave merit to the fact that the supposed unsportsmanlike foul of Mammie in stepping his foot under the shooter was not called by the referee," said UAAP Secretary Treasurer Malou Isip of Adamson.
"We resolved to suspend Mammie to just one game, he can play against DLSU today," she added.
Meanwhile, Ralf Olivarez's two-game suspension was upheld.
"For Olivarez case we will not downgrade the suspension because it was very obvious," Isip said.
