Philracom races up at MetroTurf

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The MetroTurf hosts two blockbuster races tomorrow featuring the country’s upcoming track wonders when the second leg of the Philracom Juvenile Colts and Fillies Stakes Series is held in Malvar, Batangas.

Four newcomer but tough colts are entered in the Juvenile Colts Stakes while six new campaigners banner the cast in the Juvenile Fillies Stakes both set over the 1,200-meter distance.

A whopping total of P1 million will be at stake in the two featured races with the winner in each race getting P300,000.

Young Turk, winner of last month’s PCSO Maiden Race also held at the MetroTurf, hopes to rebound from a sorry loss to Matang Tubig in the first leg of the Philracom series late last month.

They will be joined by Muchos Gracias and River Mist, a pair of newcomers out to make an early impression on the local racing circuit.

Meanwhile, Marinx hopes to make it two-in-row as she leads the cast in the Juvenile Fillies that also drew the participation of Donttouchthewine, Kukurukuku Paloma, Move On, Priceless Joy and Up and Away.

The runner-up in each leg will receive P112,500 while the third and fourth placers will get P62,500 and P25,000, respectively. The breeder of the winning horse will receive a P15,000 bonus.
