Seniors trimester golf slated at Southwoods

MANILA, Philippines - A maximum field of 60 will slug it out for top honors in the Seniors Trimester Birthday Bash golf tournament sponsored by Brainmaster on Aug. 20 at the Legends course of the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club in Carmona, Cavite.

Organized by Southwoods’ Seniors Chapter, headed by president Jose Cedo and vice president/tournament chairman, Paco Gonzalez, the tournament is open to senior chapter members and guests aged 55 years old and above. 

Yamaha by Kart Plaza is putting up a brand-new golf cart as hole-in-one prize with Brainmaster for Senior Moments, Asia Pacific Golf Corp., Boracay Sands Hotel, Camp John Hay Golf Club, Electro Mechanical Products, Inc., I3 Technology Corp., Red Eagle Lending Investors Corp., Romago Inc., Rudy Project Phils., Inc., Sherwood Hills Golf Club, The Manor at Camp John Hay, Tocoms Phils., Inc. and Warbird Security & investigation Agency, Inc.

Format for members will be medal play with full handicap (max 36). Titles to be disputed are Class A (0-12), Class B (13-24), Class C (25-36) and Super Senior (75-and-above).

Tony Valera upstaged perennial winner Butch Brodett in the last Senior Trimester Birthday Bash last May, shooting a gross 75 for a net 67 to annex the Class A crown while Kim Eun Soo ruled Class B, Jaime Cacho copped the Class C title and Rod Pepito reigned in Super Senior play.

Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. with the shotgun start set at 8 a.m.
