Dela Torre, Jorge prevail in ICTSI-JGFP junior golf

MANILA, Philippines - Karl dela Torre chalked up his second straight victory in boys Class C even as Josh Jorge continued his winning ways in boys Class D in the recent eighth leg of the ICTSI-JGFP School Season Series conducted by The Junior Golfers League at the Navy and Army courses.

Dela Torre won his division by seven points in a repeat of his big win at Intramuros last week while Jorge, who had to forego a stint in the Junior World meet last month, picked up his fourth win overall out of eight legs of the series held under the auspices of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP).

Dela Torre and Jorge finished with 41 points each in the two weekend competition which has the International Container Terminal Services, Inc. as the major backer and Pancake House, Sizzlin’ Pepper, Yellow Cab, Golf Depot and McDonald’s as sponsors.

They were joined as boys winners of the leg by Miguel Legarda in Class A, Matthew Dybuncio in Class B, Zachary Castro in Class E and Joshua Cruz in Class F.  Girls winners were Anne Sabater in Class A, Marjorie Espanola in Class B,  Tomi Arejola in Class C, Samantha Dizon in Class D, Breanna Hoese in Class E and Lia Duque in Class F.
