MANILA, Philippines - The 21st Defense & Sporting Arms Show (DSAS) Part 1, the country’s longest running gun show, will showcase a wide array of the latest firearms when it is held July 18-22 at Megatrade Halls 1, 2, and 3, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
World shooting champion Jethro Dionisio, president of the Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers (AFAD), said this year’s event theme is “Bringing Pride to the Philippines: 2013 Australasia IPSC Handgun Champions.â€
AFAD, event organizer of DSAS, will honor the country’s top guns who won medals during the latest Australasia shooting competition in Rotorua, New Zealand last March.
The Philippine contingent bested other countries by bagging most of the championship medals in almost all categories in the Level IV world shooting event.
DSAS will also offer free seminars for women gun enthusiasts to address the growing number of women interested in sports shooting.
Speakers from the 5Zero, Center for Pro-Shooters Association of the Philippines will conduct the seminar entitled: Armed Women for Self Defense, on July 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
