Padit, Esguerra top ABC quarterly bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables rolled an eight-game series of 1679 to capture the Group I crown while Sonny Esguerra of Greystone annexed the Group 2 title with a 1514 in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at E Lanes Center in Greenhills, San Juan last week.

Eugene Panaguiton of Dwightsteel scored a 1668, Francis Figuracion of Crown Pipes had 1665 and Ronnie Javier of Miraga Trading scored a 1661 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Ricky Martinez of Coach Furnitures had 1393, Zeny Prudente of Moldex Pipes came up with 1371 and Violy Magsakay of Boysen Virtuoso rolled a 1349 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

The tournament, backed by DN Steel, August Alliance, WeKonstruct, HCG Phils., Spurway, Energetix, Glass Asia, Boysen Acrytex/Knoxout/Healthy Homes/ Duraflex THHN/THW/TW Wires, Emerald Pipes, Concrete Ventures, JS Alvarez and Morning Sun, resumes at 6:30 tonight with the holding of the Sponsors Cup to be followed by the second quarterly awards night, also at E Lanes.
