MANILA, Philippines - The country’s leading dance athletes numbering 318 gear up for the DSCPI Midyear Ranking and Competition which unfolds Saturday at the Philsports Multi-Purpose Arena in Pasig City.
Eight World Dancesport Federation licensed adjudicators – Euvgenia Parakhina from the Netherlands, Lai Yu Choi, Antonio from Hong Kong, Hermann Goetz from Austria, Pankul Lho from Korea, Sante Mandolini from Italy, Anantapat Siripatnapakul from Thailand, Gloria Alcala from the Philippines and Marco Sietas from Spain as chairman of the board – are coming to adjudicate this competition, according to Dancesport Council of the Philippines president Becky Garcia.
Assisting the board are Crisaldo Rendon, Michael Mendoza, Filomena Salvador, Maira Rosete-Bernales, and Charlea Lagaras-Vergara.
The event is backed by the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, Calata Corporation, Vitug Beach Resort, PCSO, Philippine Orthopedic Institute, Radio High 105.9, Water Zone, Studio 116 and The Greenery Bulacan.
Assisting Garcia are DSCPI board of directors re-elected lawyers Noel Laman, chairman, and Andy Fornier, secretary general, Emma Nieto, assistant secretary general and sports director, Gloria Alcala, treasurer, and directors Marvie Cojuangco-Yulo, Ambassador Antonio Lagdameo, Edward Hayco, Chona Mercado, Nanette Mendoza, Rebecca Jose, Manuel Yan, Marge Vitug, Girme Gutierrez and Crisaldo Rendon.
