MANILA, Philippines – The Brgy. Ginebra Kings’ chase of Japeth Aguilar finally ended on Tuesday afternoon when PBA Commissioner Chito Salud approved the multi-player blockbuster trade.

The Kings first sent Elmer Espiritu to Barako Bull Energy Colas for their 2013 first round pick (acquired from Talk n Text in an earlier deal) then packaged it with rookie big man Yousef Taha to get Aguilar from GlobalPort Batang Pier.

In a separate deal, Brgy. Ginebra’s sister team Petron Blaze Boosters sent disgruntled forward Jay Washington to the Batang Pier for rookie Jason Deutchman and their 2016 and 2017 second round picks.

“Trades are healthy for a vibrant league like ours, particularly when the trades are even since teams and players traded are reinvigorated by the positive changes that have been initiated,” Salud told Philstar.com in a text message shortly after he approved the trade proposal that was sent to his office earlier today

The long awaited trade, which has been shelved earlier in the season, finally gained ground yesterday after another multi-player trade that saw injured forward Jared Dillinger going to Meralco from Talk n Text was approved.
