Javier, Firmeza top ABC doubles

MANILA, Philippines - Ronnie Javier and Abe Firmeza of Energetix combined for 1624 as they copped the Architects Bowling Club’s doubles event crown at the E Lanes bowling center in Ortigas Ave., Greenhills, San Juan last week.

Joan Lay and Romi de Jesus of Glass Asia pooled a 1622 for second, Larry P. and Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables had a 1600 for third while the mother-son tandem of Malou and Noel del Rosario assembled a 1597 for fourth in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Javier took the high game honors with a 256.

The tournament, backed by Morning Sun, Greystone, Dwightsteel, Coach Furnitures, Spurway, HCG Phils., WeKonstruct, August Alliance, Moldex Pipes, Miraga Trading, DN Steel, JS Alvarez, Concrete Ventures, Crown Pipes, Emerald Pipes, Duraflex, THHN/THW/TW Wires and Boysen Acrytex/Healthy Homes/Knoxout/Wallguard, resumes at 7 tonight with the holding of the singles, two-group event, also at E Lanes.
