Top entries clash in world slasher semis

MANILA, Philippines - Top-seeded cocker Patrick Antonio came out smoking during the second day of eliminations of the ongoing 2013 World Slasher Cup-2 8-Cock Invitational Derby last Tuesday to lead the concluding part of the semis set to kick-off at 4 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Patrick Antonio’s Sagupaan Selectrogen and Sagupaan Mite Free posted two wins each to lead the second batch of qualifiers in the World Slasher Cup-2 eight-cock Invitational derby at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Tuesday.

Others posting twin victories were Tony Panopio’s Balahura, Andy Ong’s ADZA JR., Rudy Ancheta and Tonton Uy’s Vertical Dugs, Anthony Lim’s Lucban-I, Randy Hall’s Longscore Blue Fever, Randy Hall, Celso Evangelista, Kini Kalawaa and Ed Moreno’s Riverside; Joey delos Santos’s JDLS; Bobby So and Wilson Ong’s Blue Snake Fighter Digmaan 2013 WRV; Rene Medina; Sundance’s Lucky Changes, RVP Phils Say and CamSur MTJ, Ricky Magtuto and Marcel Julao.

With a win and a loss apiece are Oliver WRN-1 of Nestor Vendivil, Jaime Ong and Rico Reyes; GF-BAN of Itoy Sison and Arnold Mendoza; Karamba of Rhemy Medrano; Swing 888 of Tony Marfori and MRV Sans Rival of Atty. Abella.

Action in the seven-day event resumes today with the semifinal round with the championship set Saturday after a break tomorrow.
