Qualifiers mix it up as World Slasher resumes
MANILA, Philippines - The World Slasher Cup eight-cock invitational derby resumes today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum with 80 new entries going for victories and crucial points for spots in the semifinal round tomorrow and Thursday.
The second day of elims will start at 2 p.m.
After a break on Friday, all qualifiers with two points, 2.5 and three points will face each other on Saturday with those scoring 3.5 and four points colliding for the crown on Sunday.
First day fighters included Jun Bacolod of North Cotabato, Atty. Astorga, Mayor JB Bernos, Jun Jordana, Boy Lechon de Roca, Boy Marzo, Dr. Bel Almojera, Ferdie Farinas and Ricky Solatorio, Ben Mondragon, Dante Eslabon, Martin Escolin, Peping Cojuangco;
Mayor Jose Panganiban, Patrick Antonio, Sonnie Magtibay, Virgilo Ong, Jorge Torres, Atty. Salazar, Boyet Plaza, Engr. Bilangel, Eddie Araneta, Lito Cay, Raul Panisal, Mayor Jesry Palmares, Charlie Chan, Boy Martinez, Coun. Marvin Rillo, Kgwd. Ryan Esteban, Biboy Enriquez, Kapt. Junlip, Jun Topacio and Rhemy Medrano.
