NCA world derby finals up
MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance (NCA) World Championship Derby holds its final round today at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City with Jun Garves and Jun Topacio leading the hunt for the crown with identical four points.
Gov. Claude Bautista and Boy Torres posted similar 3 1/2 points each while Ferdie Eusebio, Manuel Sy, Phil Sy, Gerry Fevidal, Ernie Austria, another entry of Gov. Claude Bautista, Cong. Patrick Antonio, Osang dela Cruz, Ka Luding Boongaling, Arman Santos, Engr. Efren Canlas, Cesar Dy, Emil Chua, Engr. Reynaldo Liwanag and Gerry Ramos scored three points each.
Rene Medina and Batangas Group remained in the hunt by piling 2 1/2 points while Albert Agila, Ricky Valencia and Mayor Alonte, Lord Cobarrubias, Eric dela Rosa/Celso Evangelista/Mr. Brown, Rep. Rudy Albano, Joel Fernando, Ricky Magtoto, Bong Pineda, Ernie Austria, JV Magsaysay, Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado and Lito Orillaza, Rene Medina, and Danny Teves posted two points each.
Winner in the event, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, will boost his bid for NCA Cocker of the Year honors.
Meanwhile, the NCA Big Event will be held on June 4.
