MANILA, Philippines - More than 60 teams slug it out for top honors in the third Suntrust Cup, one of the premier amateur tournaments hosted by Sherwood Hills Golf Club, which fires off today in Trece Martirez, Cavite.
Keen competition is seen in the premier division of the three-man team tournament with team handicaps in the upper half of the field. Play will be under the modified scramble format where members will have hole designations where to hit their tee shots.
For the second shot, the other members may place the ball in the same condition as the original ball within one scorecard length.
A brand-new Texas Eagle card is at stake as hole-in-one prize while fabulous items, including Callaway iron set, KZG Forged wedges, hotel accommodation and LED TVs will be up for grabs in the raffle draw.
