MANILA, Philippines – National University’s Dindin Santiago bagged the Most Valuable Player award of the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 First conference.
Santiago, who is also the tournament's top scorer, led National University to its first finals appearance in the Shakey’s V-League securing their best ever finish.
“Masayang masaya po hindi naman ako nag-expect na mananalo akong MVP. Tapos nakagawa pa kami ng history para sa NU after naming makapasok ng finals," said Santiago,whose taking up Hotel and Restaurant Management.
“Pero mas mas makukumpleto yung season namin kung mag-champion kami, yun ang pinakaimportante sa lahat,†she added.
Teammates Myla Pablo and Rubie De Leon also took home the Best Attacker and Best Setter awards, respectively.
Other awardees are Maika Ortiz of University of Santo Tomas for Best Blocker, Alyssa Valdez of Ateneo for Best Server, Jeng Bualee also of Ateneo was awarded the Best Receiver and Pamela Lastimosa took home the Most Improved Player citation.
