Panaguiton tops ABC anniversary bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Eugene Panaguiton of Dwightsteel lorded it over the Group I field while Joseph de Guzman of Glass Asia dominated Group 2 as they led the winners in the Architects Bowling Club’s 36th founding anniversary tournament at E Lanes Center in Greenhills, San Juan last week.

Panaguiton rolled a 12-game series of 2552 to beat Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables by two pins (2550), Hermie Prudente (2547) of Boysen Wallguard, Jerry Cham (2481) of Boysen Knoxout and Joan Mendoza (2479) of Morning Sun, for the Group I crown in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

De Guzman, on the other hand, assembled a 1808 to cop the Group 2 title over Zeny Prudente (1793) of Moldex Pipes, Joan Lay (1757) of Glass Asia, Ricky Martinez (1721) of Coach Furnitures and Boy Roldan (1711) of Miraga Trading, and Violy Magsakay (1711) of Boysen Acrytex.

Meanwhile, the tournament, backed by JS Alvarez Elect. Contractor, Concrete Ventures, Crown Pipes, Emerald Pipes, Duraflex THHN/TW/THW Wires, Boysen Healthy Homes/Virtuoso, DN Steel, August Alliance, WeKonstruct, HCG Phils., Spurway, Energetix and Greystone, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of the singles event also at E Lanes Center.
