Best Center’s prov’l sorties slated

MANILA, Philippines - The multi-awarded BEST Center (Basketball Efficiency and Scientific Center) goes nationwide with venues in four provinces initially making up its provincial tour starting next week.

Kalibo, Aklan opens it clinics on May 20-25 at the ABL Sports Complex with Ronnie Degala handling the series which is open to stunts in Level 1. For details, contact 0919-375 8398.

Tagaytay City will also host the BEST Center, a Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Hall of Fame awardee and recipient of the Philippine Olympic Committee’s (POC) Olympism Award, starting Monday. Fr. Myk Cron (0917-503-8295) is spearheading the clinics which will be held at the SVD Seminary’s basketball court/Tahanan ng Mabuting Pastol (046-413 1329). 

Level 1 clinics are offered at the Tagaytay stop.

Ormoc, Leyte will also host the BEST Center for students in Level 1 at the St. Peter’s College gym (0999-946-0076), courtesy of Marlon Matiga (0917-342-9495), Tata Guidayawan (0922-862-3263) and Luis Rafaela (0923-158-7933) starting Monday.

Ormoc registration center is at Breadbox Bakery at Rizal St. Ext, Ormoc City.

Lipa City in Batangas will also make the De La Salle-Lipa Centen basketball court starting May 20.

BEST Center founder and chairman Nic Jorge said an announcement will be made soon for other provincial sorties, including clinics set in Bulacan, Pampanga and Laguna.
